Denver Area Market is looking up! Denver bucks the National Trend!
Hey, here's some info hot off the presses.
Homes in the Denver-Aurora metro areas gained 1.8% in the 3rd quarter from the 3rd quart 2008 - bucking a national trend of prices falling. According to a report by the National Association of Realtors, the 153 Metro areas it tracks lost 11.2% overall. The Denver-Aurora area saw the median price in the 3rd quarter rise to $229,100 from $225,100. While in Boulder, the median price fell 0.9% to $358,300 from $361,500. However, 3rd quarter home sales in Colorado were down 14.1% from the third-quarter of 2008, while overall sales increased 11.4% for the nation. Hmm, it looks like the effects of the drop in inventory is starting to be seen.
